Can You Mend It? Part 2 Torn CYMI Series Volume 2 Billy WoodSmith 9781505531565 Books
****SPOILERS****The writer lost me when kept Danielle as a woman who revolves around Joe with no personality, whatsoever. As if she was an extension that only exists and subsists thanks Joe and ready to give up everything when her cheating ex reappeared and flexed his little finger into her direction.
Danielle was worried because Joe maybe no longer wanted to see her anymore (after she acted as any reasonably healthy person would and told him she wanted to think things over) because he was someone different from the man she remembered and she believe it needed time assimilating the idea that he was still embroiled in a toxic relationship with his mentally unstable ex-girlfriend.
Good!
But after that she torture herself thinking she shouldn't have say those things, because it was stupid and perhaps destroyed the chance that he MAY wanted to be back with her. And languishes and suffers because he does not return her numerous phone calls...
Yep, the guy ignore all her calls, because, indeed, he decides to drop her like a hot potatoe, because she maybe planning to accept a job promotion in London (how she dare to try to better herself! /sarcasm) and also because he was offended when she asked him to back off (he is the cheater but now the offended part too).
Seriously, after he cheated on her and left with an other woman, the minimum expectation is that Danielle will prioritize her needs and personal development before taking the crumbs that Joe throws into her direction. As if Danielle did not have every right to be angry and resentful toward Joe and needed certain distance to understand the new situation. How can be forgiveness when there is not even a minimum of recognition from Joe's part about the emotional damage he inflicted upon Danny? How they can have a healthy relationship when they cannot even have the minimum level of trust and understanding?
****END SPOILERS****
I thought this books was about a love story based in forgiveness and second chances but instead I found a plot of emotional co-dependency (due to a strong lack of female self-esteem) based on silence, betrayal, lack of understanding, complete lack of male awareness and acknowledgment. I should have listened my instincts and leave this serie since the first book, because this story is not about mending a love relationship but is the continuation from a dysfunctional interaction.

Can You Mend It? Part 2 Torn CYMI Series Volume 2 Billy WoodSmith 9781505531565 Books Reviews
Wow this is great. Omg the chemistry between Joe and D is amazing. The love they have is genuine and my heart skips a beat. Now to see Jack and Sara might developer something is to sweet. And Pete is just Pete, just didn't like him. All the main characters made this book wonderful. As before I'd give this more than five stars. I jump pinto this book not remember ing all that happened in the first. It all came back, now that's a great book. I really don't like spoilers so no details here, sorry. Can't wait for the next book.
Wow, a great book! Even better than the first one!
Hope there will be another one soon!
not so exciting to read, the author should separate the love affair of jack and sarah should write a book on that instead of mixing it to D and Joe 😓
I adored this book series. Before I started Can You Mend It?, all I wanted to read was a believable romance. Although that is exactly what this series is, it is also an absolute tour de emotions.
There were parts of this series that made me laugh out loud, happy cry, sad cry, and scream at the top of my lungs (something like "AHH JUST CALL HER, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!"). What I may have loved most about the way these books are written is that they aren't always predictable and Billy Wood-Smith does a great job at avoiding cliché. Reading this was kind of like a kick in the butt regarding other sappy love stories I've read. Why can't they all be like this?
Anyway, if this review or the summary has turned you on to this book in ANY way, I highly suggest you take the plunge and read the series. You won't regret it!
